Oregon State sophomore Glenn Taylor Jr. announced Tuesday that he’s headed to the NCAA transfer portal for men’s basketball.
Taylor played in 62 games, starting 38, during his two-year Beavers career. Taylor is the first OSU player from this year’s team to enter the portal.
At the conclusion of the Pac-12 tournament in early March, Taylor – seated with Jordan Pope at a post-game interview table – declared he was returning to OSU next season.
“We’re both with the Beavers,” Taylor said.
The 6-foot-6 Taylor averaged 11.6 points and 3.7 rebounds last season. Taylor scored a career-high 28 points in the regular season finale against California. Taylor was one of the few bright spots for OSU during his freshman year, as he started the final 12 games during the Beavers’ 3-28 campaign. Taylor averaged 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds as a freshman.
