I’m old enough to remember the days pre-Roe v. Wade. I wish younger women were aware of what that time was like. I personally knew two wonderful young women who died from back-alley abortions. Women were arrested for seeking an abortion as well as abortion providers, while women with financial means could afford to fly to Sweden or other countries to obtain an abortion. The recent Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade forces women back to a horrendously ugly time in our history.
