The Mothership owner Ricky Ramirez wanted to create a spirit-free Painkiller that would please his guests at a price that would as well. “Instead of putting an alcohol-free spirit in it, we actually top it with tonic,” he says. “It adds a bittering effect to the cocktail where you’d never know it’s nonalcoholic.”
