One year ago, Thunder Island Brewing made the move from seven years alongside the Columbia River to its new, spacious location along the main drag in Cascade Locks, Oregon. This move allowed for a larger brewhouse and inviting restaurant with scenic views of the Columbia River Gorge.
Now eight years old, Thunder Island Brewing will host its 8th Anniversary Party this weekend on Saturday, October 23 and Sunday, October 24. Each day will be filled with specialty beers, live music, and introducing new menu items with the beer garden opening each day at Noon.
On Saturday, DJ Zinker will be spinnin’ old school jams all day as Midnight Rodeo will bring its honky-tonk boogie and Americana with a psychedelic twist at 1:00pm. The Bandulus will follow with its ska, reggae, and soul at 5:00pm. On Sunday, Matt Coughlin will bring his music to the stage from 4:00-6:00pm.
Getting to and from Thunder Island Brewing will be a breeze with the CAT Express Bus. Its bus schedule with trips to and from the Gateway Transit Center in Portland and throughout the Columbia River Gorge can be viewed here: https://www.ridecatbus.org/columbia-gorge-express-october/.
Thunder Island Brewing is also offering a free evening bus shuttle from Hood River and Stevenson.
