Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has been named third-team All-NBA.
The league announced the teams on Wednesday.
This is the seventh time Lillard has been named to the All-NBA team (franchise record) and the second time he has been named to the third team. He has been named first team once (2017-18) and second-team five times.
Lillard, a seven-time All-star, had probably the best statistical season of his career in 2022-23. He scored a career-high 32.2 points per game with 7.3 assists, tied for the third most of his career.
Lillard, who scored a career-high 71 points against Houston on Feb. 26, matched his career best by shooting 46.3% from the field and hit on 37.1% of his three-point attempts.
Lillard’s chance to be named to the first-team was likely impacted by the Blazers missing the playoffs and Lillard missing 24 games of action.
He appeared in 58 games, which starting next season will fall below the 65 required games to qualify for All-NBA consideration.
