The union representing Multnomah County workers alleged a month before last November’s election that Commissioner Sharon Meieran, who was running for county chair, had threatened retribution when the union endorsed her opponent Jessica Vega Pederson.
Three months later, however, Oregon AFSCME Local 88 dropped its unfair labor practice complaint against the county through a settlement where the county agreed to pay the union $2,000 for legal costs and cover its filing fee for the complaint, documents show.
