These days, TV and streaming services are packed with shows featuring hosts visiting locations to sample food and soak up culture. The new series, “101 Places to Party Before You Die” sounds like it’s taking a more irreverent approach to this formula. Comic actors and friends Adam Pally (”Happy Endings”) and Jon Gabrus (”Game Over, Man!”) are the hosts who travel to assorted locales to explore what those places have to offer.
“101 Places to Party Before You Die” airs at 10:30 p.m. Thursdays on truTV; you can live stream the show on DIRECTV STREAM, which offers a free trial.
As the official show description says, Pally and Gabrus take viewers on “an epic summer bromance,” as they go on three-day weekend escapes across the U.S.
“Stepping off the beaten path,” the description says, “the guys champion the authenticities of each stop and share with viewers their love of the unexplored. Even after 15 years of friendship and adventure, there’s still so much for them to discover from unique foods and drinks to local sites, and other idiosyncrasies that make each city tick. Locations featured include: Maui, Moab, Miami, Puerto Rico, Portland, Richmond, Atlanta and Denver.”
“101 Places to Party Before You Die” kicks off Thursday, July 14, with Pally and Gabrus in Denver. The show airs at 10:30 p.m. on truTV.
