SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Oregon State Beavers play the UCLA Bruins Saturday afternoon in the winners’ bracket of the Pac-12 baseball tournament at Scottsdale Stadium.
The game is scheduled to begin 45 minutes after a 9 a.m. winners’ bracket matchup between Stanford and Arizona. (View a tournament bracket here)
If Oregon State wins, it advances to Sunday night’s championship game. If it loses, it will play UCLA again Saturday night and the winner would play for the championship.
The Beavers are 2-0 in the tournament so far thanks to a 13-8 win over Washington in the opening round and a 3-1 win over Cal in the second round. As a result, Oregon State had Friday off.
The Bruins, on the other hand, lost their tournament opener and had to play an elimination game late Friday night. They edged Cal 9-7 in 10 innings thanks to back-to-back RBI singles from Ethan Gourson and Kyle Karros.
