The “South Park” gang have crawled out of the COVID pandemic and the return of the COVID pandemic, and now will face a new challenge – The Streaming Wars – in a new special coming to Paramount Plus today, which features the show’s iconic characters, including Stan Marsh and Kyle Broflovski, as adults. The South Park: Streaming Wars special premiered today at 12 a.m. PT on Wednesday, June 1 on Paramount+ and will not be shown on Comedy Central.

In the new The Streaming Wars special, which is the third in a series of four planned exclusives with Paramount+, Cartman faces a familiar foe in his own mothers in a battle of wills while an epic conflict surrounding cable companies and streaming services unfolds. The movie special is just another in a line of 14 upcoming “South Park” films slated to release on Paramount+ from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who also signed a $900 million deal with ViacomCBS recently to extend the regular South Park Series through 2027.

TV Channel: The Streaming Wars special is exclusively available on the Paramount+ streaming service. This special will not be on regular cable TV packages, and viewers will not find it on Comedy Central, which is the home of the regular South Park series.
