DESTIN, Fla. — Oregon will play reigning national champion South Carolina in a home-and-home starting this season.
South Carolina coach Dawn Staley confirmed the series will begin this season, but deferred to Oregon coach Kelly Graves, who told The Oregonian/OregonLive the two sides were working on a series, regarding dates and if the teams will play at Matthew Knight Arena this season or next.
“We got another game, that’s what I love,” Staley said at SEC Spring Meetings. “We got another game on our schedule, which we still need about two or three more.”
The Ducks and Gamecocks played during last season’s inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis women’s tournament, with South Carolina winning 80-63.
