Hundreds of people gathered around a tiny 4-by-4-foot stage Saturday morning at Beaverton City Park to watch 10 dance performances that included a variety of modern, contemporary and traditional styles.
The Ten Tiny Dances event, held in the heart of downtown Beaverton for years, coincided with the popular Beaverton Farmer’s Market that regularly draws thousands.
The series challenges artists to choreograph dance performances on a small stage that limits movement.
The dance groups on the tiny stage included Ritual Azteca Huitzilopochtli, Tracy Broyles, Sweta Ravisankar, akela jaffi, Jess Zoller, FaceKing, push/fold, Donna Mation, Rebecca Chadd and Painted Sky Northstar.
