The United States will be well represented in the men’s high jump final at the World Athletics Championships at Hayward Field.
Americans JuVaughn Harrison and Shelby McEwen each cleared the bar at 7 feet, 4 inches Friday morning during the qualifying rounds at the Championships. Harrison and Shelby’s jumps tied for the best effort during the qualifying rounds, with 11 of the 13 qualifying athletes each clearing the height at least once.
The final round of the event is scheduled for Monday.
