All four of Team USA’s runners in the women’s 400-meter hurdles semifinals cruised through to the final Wednesday night at the World Athletics Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene.
Dalilah Muhammad and Sydney McLaughlin each took first place in their heats, the first and third, respectively. In heat 2, Shamier Little and Britton Wilson qualified alongside Femke Bol of the Netherlands and Jamaica’s Rushell Clayton.
McLaughlin dominated in the third race with a time of 52.17 seconds — the best mark of all heats. Panama’s Gianna Woodruff (53.69) qualified alongside her.
Muhammad finished with a time of 53.28 atop her heat. Ukraine’s Anna Ryzhykova qualified with her at 54.51 seconds.
In the second heat, Little finished with a time of 53.61 and Wilson qualified with a mark of 53.72.
The final for the women’s 400-meter hurdles is scheduled for Friday evening.
