What is The Last of Us about?
The Last of Us is a new TV series based on an action-adventure post-apocalyptic survival horror video game. The game franchise, originally created by gaming company Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment, became an automatic hit and has since been expanded with a sequel.
The show will follow characters Joel and Ellie, who are brought together as they try to survive an apocalypse that breaks out across the United States. Written by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the post-apocalyptic drama thriller stars actors Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. The story-driven game is set in a zombie-ravaged America that has been taken over by once-human creatures infected with a mushroom-like virus that causes them to become violent cannibals.
