The Portland area Sunday may see rain showers after 10 a.m., but it will be an otherwise ordinary March day, with cloudy skies and a high temperature near 46 degrees.
That’s the forecast from the National Weather Service, and it will more or less hold for the rest of the week.
Snow levels — meaning the elevation at which precipitation will fall as snow — will rise and fall throughout the week, but they will mostly remain at or above 1,000 feet, which includes Council Crest, the West Hills and Mount Scott.
Check out the elevations where you live, work or study with this handy map. Built by The Oregonian/OregonLive, the map allows users to see what parts of the tri-county area are above certain elevation thresholds or snow levels.
If precipitation falls as snow this week, weather service meteorologists expect little to no snow accumulation.
