Oregon’s Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu and T.J. Bass displayed some lower-body explosiveness at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Bass had a 9-feet-1 broad jump and Aumavae-Laulu jumped 8-feet-10, tied for 13th and tied for 19th among 39 offensive linemen to jump at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday. Both had 28.5-inch vertical jumps, tied for 25th out of 40 offensive linemen to jump.
Alex Forsyth had a 7-feet-11 broad jump and 20.5-inch vertical, both of which were last, but he tweaked a hamstring before the jumps and didn’t perform on-field drills. He plans to perform them during Oregon’s pro day next week.
Aumavae-Laulu ran the three-cone drill in 7.65 seconds, ninth among 22 offensive linemen to run. He ran the 20-yard shuttle in 4.75 seconds, 15th among 25 offensive linemen to run.
Bass and Forsyth did not run the three-cone or 20-yard shuttle.
Aumavae-Laulu ran the 40-yard dash in 5.23 seconds and Bass ran in 5.48 seconds, 22nd and 34th among 36 offensive linemen to run, respectively. In the more important 10-yard split, Aumavae-Laulu ran 1.80 seconds and Bass ran in 1.86, tied for 15th and 31st, respectively.
