Last December, it was somewhat shocking to watch the Portland Trail Blazers lose two consecutive games at the Oklahoma City Thunder.
At the time, the Blazers appeared to be a postseason team while the Thunder had draft lottery written all over them.
In many ways, those two games changed the trajectory for both franchises and now, the Blazers have given up on reaching the postseason while the Thunder are in the running to continue playing in April after the regular season comes to an end.
For that reason, expect the Thunder to be hungry to complete their season sweep of the Trail Blazers. Oklahoma City leads the season series 3-0 and have very much been a bad matchup for the Blazers. And that was when their regulars were in action.
Out Sunday will be Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant and Jusuf Nurkic, making winning for the Blazers appear to be virtually impossible.
