Kings rookie Keegan Murray scored 10 points and his team shot 56% from the field to win the quarter.
The Blazers committed five turnovers and shot just 38.6% from the field but did made 5 of 10 threes.
Shaedon Sharpe and Skylar Mays each scored five points.

The Portland Trail Blazers will receive a bit of a boost Friday night against the Sacramento Kings.
Forward Trendon Watford (right ankle sprain) has been upgraded to available.
Ruled out, however, are Ryan Arcidiacono (lumbar soreness) and Cam Reddish (lumbar soreness). Both had been listed as doubtful.
The Blazers have nine players listed as being out for Friday night.
