Police are investigating an attempted suicide after a 29-year-old woman shot herself Thursday afternoon at a Sherwood shooting range.
The woman survived the shooting at the Threat Dynamics range on Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood Road near Oregon Street, Sherwood police said. She was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital, said police spokesperson Officer Paul Mattson.
The extent of the woman’s injuries wasn’t available.
Sherwood police, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and a chaplain responded about 2 p.m. to the shooting, Mattson said.
A representative for Threat Dynamics did not respond to an email message. No one answered the phone at the business Thursday evening.
