Oregon’s Terra McGowan and Morgan Scott were recognized by the Pac-12 for their play in helping lead the No. 16 Ducks to a sweep of Arizona.
McGowan, who hit .750 with two doubles, a home run, five runs scored and six RBIs, was named Pac-12 player of the week and Scott, who went 2-0 with 11 strikeouts over 11.2 shutout innings, was named conference pitcher of the week.
The fifth-year junior catcher went 2 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs on Friday, 2 for 3 with two doubles on Saturday and 2 for 2 on Sunday. McGowan is UO’s first conference player of the week since Vallery Wong on March 8, 2022.
Scott threw a three-hit, six-inning shutout on Friday and allowed just three hits over 4.2 scoreless innings of relief on Sunday. She’s the second Ducks pitcher to earn the conference’s weekly award this season, joining Stevie Hansen (Feb. 27).
