The Oregon State Beavers host the Arizona Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Game 2 of a three-game Pac-12 baseball series at Goss Stadium.
The 22nd-ranked Beavers opened the series with a dramatic comeback win on Friday, using a two-run bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning from freshman Tyce Peterson to escape with a 2-1 walk-off victory.
It was a thrilling ending to an entertaining and emotional game that featured testy exchanges between the teams and fans, warnings from umpires and even a steal of home plate.

He went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs in the win and has four hits in his last two games. … Travis Bazzana went 2 for 4 with a stolen base in the opener, extending two impressive streaks. He now owns a nine-game hitting streak and an eight-game stolen base streak. The sophomore second baseman is batting .500 (18 for 36), with 18 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, seven RBIs and 10 walks in the last nine games. His Friday night steal gives him 25 this season, tied for the Pac-12 lead and tied with Steve Lyons for the sixth-most in a season in school history. … The Beavers’ bullpen pitched four shutout innings Friday and right-hander Aiden Jimenez earned the win. OSU relievers are 10-0 with a 1.70 ERA in 100 1/3 innings at home this season. … Garret Forrester singled Friday and has reached base in 40 consecutive games. … The Beavers are 23-1 when they out-hit an opponent.
