Eight Oregon State Beavers from the 2022 roster are on their way to NFL camps after the NFL draft completed its three-day run Saturday.
Tight end Luke Musgrave and cornerback Alex Austin were draft picks. Musgrave went in the second round to Green Bay, while Austin was tabbed in the seventh round by Buffalo.
Six former Beavers agreed to undrafted free agent contracts. Eight players in one year is the highest number since coach Jonathan Smith took over Oregon State’s program in 2018. It is the most since 2015, when 10 Beavers (five drafted, five UDFA) landed deals.
Oregon Staters landing undrafted free agent Saturday were cornerback Rejzohn Wright (Carolina), safety Jaydon Grant (Las Vegas), fullback Jack Colletto (San Francisco), receivers Tre’Shaun Harrison (Tennessee) and Tyjon Lindsey (Seattle) and offensive guard Brandon Kipper (Baltimore).
Still waiting to hear if they’ll join their OSU teammates in an NFL rookie camp is linebacker Kyrei Fisher-Morris and punter Luke Loecher.
Musgrave, the 42nd overall pick, is Oregon State’s highest draft selection since Brandin Cooks went in the first round of the 2014 first round. Austin went late in the second round, as he was the 252nd (of 259) selection.
