Luxury goods retailer Nordstrom and its bargain counterpart Nordstrom Rack are closing a combined total of 15 stores so far this year in Canada and the U.S.
Back in March, the Seattle-based retailer announced that it would shutter its Canadian operations in June, closing all 13 brick-and-mortar locations and cutting 2,500 jobs due to a lack of profitability for the business in that market.
Six of them are Nordstrom stores and seven of them are Nordstrom Rack stores. Its e-commerce portion of the business ceased operating in March in the country.
The retailer also announced recently that it would be pulling out of San Francisco in the U.S. later in the summer due to crime.
