The 15th-ranked Oregon State Beavers visit the UCLA Bruins Sunday afternoon in the rubber match of a three-game Pac-12 baseball series at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
The Beavers responded to a Friday night loss in the opener with a 6-4 victory Saturday in Game 2, using home runs by Travis Bazzana, Micah McDowell and Kyle Dernedde, and four scoreless innings of relief by right-hander Ben Ferrer to set up a Sunday rubber match.
This will be the final Pac-12 game of the regular season for the Beavers, who enter the day tied for second place in the conference with the Washington Huskies. Washington plays the Oregon Ducks Sunday in Eugene in search of a three-game sweep.
Oregon State has played five rubber matches in conference play this season, going 3-2 in those series. The most recent came last weekend in Corvallis, where the Beavers beat the Utah Utes 11-4 to close out the series.
A win today would give OSU its seventh Pac-12 series victory of the season.
