For a second straight offseason the Oregon Ducks are adding a former Colorado cornerback.
Former Buffaloes corner Nikko Reed committed to transfer to Oregon on Monday.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Reed, a true junior season, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
He had 42 tackles with 2.5 for loss, including a sack, two interceptions and seven pass breakups and also averaged 22.63 yards on 19 kickoff returns last season.
Reed was a three-star recruit ranked No. 1,940 nationally and No. 154 among athletes in the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2021.
He is the fourteenth FBS transfer addition for the Ducks this offseason, joining linebackers Jestin Jacobs (Iowa) and Connor Soelle (Arizona State), receivers Traeshon Holden (Alabama), Tez Johnson (Troy) and Gary Bryant Jr. (USC), cornerback Khyree Jackson (Alabama), offensive linemen Junior Angilau (Texas) and Nishad Strother (East Carolina), safeties Evan Williams (Fresno State) and Tysheem Johnson (Ole Miss), edge rusher Jordan Burch (South Carolina) and tight ends Casey Kelly (Ole Miss) and Kaden Ludwick (Colorado), plus FCS transfer offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius (Rhode Island).
The addition of Reed gives Oregon 86 projected scholarship players in the fall.
