Ty Thompson will once again attend the Manning Passing Academy
The Oregon Ducks third-year sophomore is among 45 college quarterbacks who will serve as counselors for the 27th annual event, which will take place on the campus of Nicholls State in Thibodaux, La. from June 22-25.
It will be the second time at the MPA for Thompson, who threw for 72 yards with two interceptions in seven games as Oregon’s backup last season.
Ducks starting quarterback Bo Nix, who attended the event in 2021, is not among those slated to attend this year’s MPA. Arizona’s Jayden de Laura, Washington’s Michael Penix, Arizona State’s Drew Pyne, Utah’s Cameron Rising, Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Washington State’s Cameron Ward are the other Pac-12 QBs who will attend.
It’s the fourth straight MPA that Oregon will be represented, as Thompson repeats following Anthony Brown Jr. (2021) and Justin Herbert (2019).
