For the third time, Oregon City’s Sophia Beckmon is leaving the Nike Outdoor National meet with a long jump gold medal. On Friday night at Hayward Field in Eugene, Beckmon took the gold with a final jump of 21 feet, 7.25 inches.
While not a new personal best, the mark is a new high school best for Hayward Field.
