Mia Brahe-Pedersen’s ability to smash records has long since been displayed at a national level. On Sunday afternoon at the Nike Outdoor Nationals, her finish in the 200-meter dash has her rubbing shoulders with American track and field royalty.
The Lake Oswego rising senior won the 200-meter dash in 22.43 seconds. It’s a new state record for Brahe-Pedersen (whose previous best was 22.61) and its second all-time nationally to Allyson Felix, whose record is 22.11.
