The Portland Holiday Ale Fest has laid dormant since the pandemic began and appears to be in the same holding pattern. Taking its place in Pioneer Courthouse Square in early December is the new 2023 Portland Holiday Brew Fest.
Hosted by True West, the 22-year-old Pacific Northwest concert promoter is bringing together over 25 holiday and winter themed beers and ciders to the heart of downtown Portland all underneath the 75 foot tall Christmas Tree. This two-day event will take place under heated tents on Saturday, December 2 from 11:00am-9:00pm and Sunday, December 3 from 10:00am-5:00pm.
True West has had a lot of recent experience hosting events at Pioneer Courthouse Square. During the month of August it brought in over a dozen of bands for PDX Live that took place throughout the month. Then a few weeks back it hosted the Portland Oktoberfest in the same location. The promotion company is also responsible for the more recent versions of the Hood River Hops Fest. Therefore, the inaugural Portland Holiday Brew Fest may turn into something fun and special.
Tickets to the 2023 Portland Holiday Brew Fest are currently on sale with two ticket options. Entry with four drink tickets, each good for four 9oz pours are $30. These drink tickets can also be split in two and redeemed for two 4oz pours. Additional 9oz drink tickets are $5 each. Entry only tickets are $10. Organizers are also encouraging attendees to bring their own glassware, such as steins, mason jars, and coffee mugs, to the festival to reduce their plastic footprint. To purchase tickets, visit http://www.pdxholidaybrewfest.com.
The festival’s food purveyor will be Urban German as it will be on site serving up delicious brats and sides to keep your appetite filled!
The festival is only open to those 21 years of age or older. A beer list will hopefully be available prior to the festival that takes place in early December.
