Get prepared for the 2024 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest as tickets to the festival go on-sale to tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13 beginning at 10:00am PST. The only way to purchase tickets is online via FirestoneWalker.com.
The annual festival hosted by Firestone Walker Brewing will return to the Paso Robles Event Center on Saturday, June 1, 2024. With over 60 breweries, each hand selected by Matt Brynildson, Firestone Walker’s Brewmaster, this festival always sells out, usually within minutes, so arrive to the website early with some quick fingers. This year the festival is not using Eventbrite so make sure you use the correct link for purchasing tickets.
The 2024 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest (FWIBF) kicks off on June 1 at Noon and runs until 5:00pm. General Admission Tickets are priced at $135.00 and includes a festival glass and unlimited beer and food samples. There is also a very limited amount of Early Entry Tickets available at $270.00. This ticket allows for entry one hour earlier at 11:00am and includes a festival shirt and hat while drinking beers before the masses arrive one hour later.
This year’s FWIBF will feature many returning breweries from previous years and a few first timers include a few from Portland with both Breakside Brewery and Von Ebert Brewing. Joining these two breweries are Ghost Town from Oakland, California; and Mountain Culture from Australia. Other notable draws include Oxbow from Newcastle, Maine; Omnipollo from Sweden; Lervig from Norway; FrauGruber from Germany; and Garage Project from New Zealand. A complete list of breweries can be found further down in our article.
Since its inaugural event in 2012, the FWIBF has become renowned as one of the world’s most esteemed beer festivals. It is always at the top of our list as it brings in so many great breweries in a setting that allows for unlimited tastings and food from some of Paso’s best restaurants. This year’s edition will once again include live music and food from more than 20 local restaurants and purveyors. Proceeds from the fest benefit Paso Robles Pioneer Day, a beloved local nonprofit.
“The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest was born from a dream of creating a world-class festival featuring some of the best brewers in the world,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “This is a day when we can set the sales pitches aside and simply share our beers and stories with passionate craft drinkers.”
“The proceeds that are raised from the beer fest are critical to the ongoing mission of Paso Robles Pioneer Day, which is to preserve and showcase our local heritage and agricultural roots through events such as the Pioneer Day Parade that happens every October,” said Sarah Kramer, chairperson of the Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest Committee. “Firestone Walker’s generosity in assisting with the production of the beer fest never ceases to amaze us and they have been an incredible partner over the years. We look forward to another great celebration this year.”

In addition to the Invitational Beer Fest, Firestone Walker will also host additional events around the festival itself. These will include live concerts, block parties and other events with Central Coast bars and restaurants. But the highlights of these events will be on the two days preceding the Invitational and the day after.
On Thursday, May 30, the Firestone Walker Invitational Kick-Off Party will take place in downtown Paso Robles at its City Park. This party began last year and is free to attend and will once again feature live music with a diverse array of Firestone Walker beers to enjoy. We made it by the event last year and had an enjoyable evening.
Then on Friday, May 31, Firestone Walker will once again host the Invitational Brewery Block Party. Held out front of the Firestone Walker Taproom, this is another free event to attend and will include plenty of BBQ, amazing beers and live music. Last year there were a plentiful offering of barrel-aged beers from Firestone served alongside other breweries beers from festival. It’s a great way to enjoy a more relaxing afternoon with plenty of beers to be had.
Then to close out the Firestone Walker Invitational weekend, the Firestone Walker Taproom will host a Brunch beginning at 9:00am. There will be plenty of chef specials and one final chance to grab some beers to travel home with.
“The Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest is an international event with a distinctly local flair,” said Nick Firestone. “Every June, Paso Robles transforms into a central hub for global beer fans. It has become more than a beer festival—it’s a community celebration where we can all gather together in the name of great beer and good times.”
