Simply Italian GREAT WINES (SIGW) seminar series returns to London in October, providing attendees with a journey through the wines of Italy with guided tastings and the opportunity to taste wine with the producers.
Remarkably, it was 2015 that the last edition of SIGW took place. The event series focuses on educational seminars delivered by leading local experts to best convey the message of the wine and region in question.
“Simply Italian GREAT WINES is a unique trade experience created to offer Italian wine producers the opportunity to introduce and promote their products on new and established international markets. It is also a journey through the wines of Italy, focusing on educational guided tastings as well as providing the opportunity to taste wines with the producers.” Said Marina Nedic of I.E.M, who are running the event.
The London event is being held in conjunction with Walter Speller, Jane Hunt MW and Emily O’Hare.
Walter Speller said of the event: “during the day eight seminars are planned and we very much encourage people to ‘seminar hop’ from the next, but always with maximum security on place. The seminars are divided over two separate room and the maximum number of places is 20 for each. I am particularly pleased to be the speaker at the seminar of the very little known Garda DOC and the very well-known, but greatly misunderstood delle Venezie DOC: Custoza is another little-known white wine DOC I am excited to talk about. Emily O’Hare takes on, among others, Le Marche with several top class Verdicchio wines, Abruzzo and Collio.”
