The Story Behind The Mangonada
Calling all slushie, smoothie, and frozen cocktail lovers! The Mangonada is the simplest frozen cocktail you’ll make all spring and summer and sure to be a hit at every party. The popular recipe blends frozen mangoes with chamoy sauce — a popular Mexican condiment made with fresh fruit like apricots and plums plus chilies and lime juice — to create a unique drink you’ll want to mix up on every sunny day.
Using fresh lime juice and agave nectar is a clean, all-natural way to brighten up the flavors in your drink and sets the perfect base for PATRÓN Silver. Consider batching the recipe ahead of time so you can scoop the frozen puree into drinks as needed and see how this cocktail can transform PATRÓN, your favorite additive-free tequila.
