Angostura Bitters has launched a Secret Sips Summer Spritz campaign in partnership with five UK bars, serving up curated Angostura cocktails.
Newly opened Bar Liber in Islington is one of the five independent bars partnering with the bitters brand.
The others span the length of the country, from Irish cocktail experts Homeboy, also in London, to Pineapple Club in Birmingham, Manchester’s Lost Cat, and Uno Mas based in Scotland’s capital.
Across August and early September each bar will feature bespoke Angostura-inspired Summer Spritz cocktail menus.
The campaign is designed to support local and independent businesses, and coincides with the hospitality industry opening back up now that Coronavirus restrictions have lifted.
“After more than a year of unprecedented times, it’s so encouraging to see the UK get back on its feet,” said Claire Arnott, Angostura Bitters Head of UK Marketing.
“While we celebrate with the nation, we also wanted to show our support to the bar industry as they open their doors once more. We’re so pleased to be partnering with some fantastic independent bars to welcome guests back with some amazing Angostura Bitters inspired Summer Spritz menus.”
Drinks created for the campaign are designed to tap into all tastes and trends, from wine and gin based sips to low and no alcohol alternatives. Recipes include a pineapple, lime and Bitters spritz, and a zesty orange and rosé wine-based cocktail, each of which would not be complete without a dash of Angostura Bitters.
Recipes will also be shared via the brand’s social media channels, allowing fans to get involved and create their own concoctions at home.
