Fellow Los Angeles bar director Adam Fournier amplifies the tropical flavors in his Porn Star Martini variation, Born a Star Martini, with a passion fruit and mamey sapote syrup.
“We wanted something that felt uniquely Southern Californian so we looked at natural flavor pairings and eventually struck gold with mamey sapote,” he says. “The mamey lends a wonderful texture and weight to the passion fruit while still staying tropical and bright.” If you can’t find mamey, Fournier says the more ubiquitous mango can be subbed in.
