Portland’s three-day run of temperatures above 80 degrees will end Sunday, when clouds and a chance or precipitation return to the forecast.
The high temperature in Portland is expected to reach just 64 degrees on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. There’s also a 20% chance of rain in the Portland area before noon, then intermittent showers from noon to 3 p.m., the weather service forecasts.
Saturday’s high temperature at Portland International Airport reached 85 degrees, by comparison, and 88 degrees on Friday, breaking the record of 82 that was set on April 28 in 1998.
We’re in for a rollercoaster ride, weather-wise, for the week ahead.
A slight chance of showers will remain for Monday and Tuesday as temperatures start to climb back into the 70s. By Wednesday, partial sunshine will fill the skies and the temperature could reach 73 degrees. Then the clouds are expected to come back and the temperature will fall again, dipping into the low 60s by Saturday.
