Per the description of the film’s plot from Lifetime, the movie follows 17-year-old Lucy (Lizzy Boys) who has lived a closed-off life in order to hide her family secret: The mountain of junk filled in every crevice of space in her and her mother’s home. Isolated from her peers for years, she quietly plans her escape to college while managing her mother Joanna’s (Melissa Joan Hart) hoarding disorder.
