Dubbed Farmtoberfest, Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery takes over Function PDX throughout the month of October 2021. This past Friday, Wolves & People took over all six rotating taps and the beer cooler with cans and bottles that will be supplied through October 31st!
Joining Wolves & People for the month of October is Gonzales Wine Co. Plus, for the first three weekends, Chef Maylin Chavez’s Olympia Oyster Bar Pop-Up will be joining in the fun along with a pastry desert flight from Here For the Cakes.
Throughout the month Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery will bring a rotating assortment of five fresh hop beers alongside an extensive tap list of wild ales and oak-aged beers for onsite enjoyment or to take home in cans and bottles. The tap list will be rotating all month long and there’s plenty of outdoor seating on the back patio or the parklet out front.
We made our way by this Friday for the kickoff and enjoyed a few offerings from Wolves & People. Our first selection was Neuberg Lager, an oak-foeder Bavarian style lager that provided a pleasant experience of malt flavors offset by fragrant Noble Hops. There’s plenty of subtle nuances in Neuberg Lager and is one beer we highly recommend diving into this fall!
In addition to Neuberg Lager, the Fresh Hop Honeycone Hazy IPA and Wolf off Wheat garnered our interest. The locally sourced honey shined with freshly harvested Lucille Hops from Sauvie Island Farms on Fresh Hop Honeycone. And on Wolf of Wheat, revisiting this hoppy wheat ale was also a great choice as it reminded us of a more complex Gumballhead from 3 Floyds!
Wolves & People’s Farmtobefest at Function PDX is open seven days a week at 2:00pm Monday – Thursday and at Noon Friday – Sunday.
Next month, two Eugene based breweries will take over Function PDX. Look for ColdFire Brewing and Alesong Brewing & Blending along NW 23rd Avenue from November 4 – 28, 2021.
