Oregon added a second tight end to its 2024 recruiting class.
Jackson Ford, a tight end from Melissa, Texas, committed to the Ducks on Wednesday. He also held offers from Arizona State, Cal, Houston and Boise State among others.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Ford is not rated in the 247Sports Composite and is listed by multiple recruiting outlets as a defensive lineman, though he plays offense and defense. On3 ranks Ford as the No. 125 defensive lineman in the class and No. 165 player in Texas.
Ford is the nine commitment to Oregon’s 2024 recruiting class, joining tight end A.J. Pugliano, offensive tackle Fox Crader, receivers Tyseer Demark and Jordan Anderson, edge defender Jaxson Jones, safety Aaron Flowers, offensive lineman Trent Ferguson and defensive lineman Tionne Gray. Oregon’s class remained No. 14 in the 247Sports Composite.
