A man was found shot to death in Hillsboro early Monday morning after officers responded to reports of gunfire, police say.
Officers arrived at the parking lot of a strip mall at 11th Avenue and Walnut Street shortly after midnight and discovered the man in a corner of the lot. Hillsboro police describe the victim as “approximately 40 years old.” They are providing no further information at this time.
The suspect or suspects are unknown, police say.
Police closed Walnut Street between 10th and 12th for about seven hours for the initial phase of the investigation. The road is now open again. The investigation is continuing.
