Australian wine brand McGuigan has teamed up with designer Anya Hindmarch’s no and lo- alcohol pop up shop in London.
The Dry Drinker, which opened on Friday in London’s Pont Street as part of Hindmarch’s retail concept The Village, which comprises five neighbouring Anya Hindmarch stores, each with a different focus. It will run until 10 February, serving a full selection of no- and low-alcohol drinks. The range includes the full McGuigan Zero range.
AVL’s Chief Operating Officer for the UK Europe and America’s, Julian Dyer said it was great to see the nation becoming “more ‘sober curious’”.
“The uplift in sales of our Zero range year on year suggests there’s no sign of this slowing down,” he added, pointing to the 347% year on year sales growth of the range.
“We’re proud to have created a no alcohol range of wines that provide the same experience that comes with drinking alcohol and that can be paired with food or enjoyed in a leisurely way with no compromise on taste or flavour,” he said.
According to recent Nielsen data growth of the no alcohol sector has continued to accelerate, rising 44% in the last 12 months, to be worth £36.1 million.
And McGuigan notes that its McGuigan Zero range has contributed the equivalent of over 40% of Total No Alcohol growth in the last year (based on Kantar data)
