If you’re headed to a Juneteenth or Pride celebration this weekend, or if there’s a Father’s Day cookout on the horizon Sunday, you’ll probably want to bring along your rain slicker. The Portland area is looking at its fourth rainy weekend in a row, featuring occasional showers, and daily highs in the low 60s – below normal for this time of year, and far below the scorching June we experienced in 2021.
According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 50% chance of showers Saturday, mainly after 11 a.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high around 63. While it will be damp, we shouldn’t see downpours like last weekend. The weather service says Saturday’s rain totals are likely to be less than a tenth of an inch.
Sunday won’t be much different, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a 50% chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies, and a high of 62.
After we get past the weekend, the weather service says we can expect a return to more seasonable weather, with daily highs next week in the 70s under mostly sunny skies.
