Ndamukong Suh wants to play football in 2023, but he plans to skip training camp.
The free agent defensive lineman is weighing his options regarding a team to join this season. But he’s taking his time and has no interest in participating in training camp.
“I have no desire to be in a training camp,” Suh said during an appearance on the “NFL Total Access” television show.
Suh, 36, is looking to play in his 14th season after playing with the Philadelphia Eagles for eight games during the regular season. Suh made another trip to the Super Bowl (the Eagles lost to Kansas City 38-35 in Super Bowl 57), his third trip to the Big Game in the past five seasons.
If he does sign with a team in 2023, Suh said he’ll be game-ready despite missing training camp.
“I will come in and watch and look and give some advice, but when Week 1 happens, I’ll be ready,” Suh said on “NFL Total Access.”
Suh was the No. 2 overall pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2010 NFL draft. He played for the Lions, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Eagles.
