A berth in the Women’s College World Series is on the line for the Oregon State Beavers softball team on Saturday as they go up against the Stanford Cardinal in Game 2 of their NCAA super regional in Stanford, California.
After the Beavers won 3-1 in Game 1 on Friday night, Oregon State needs one more victory to take the best-of-three series and earn its first WCWS berth since 2006.
Stanford, meanwhile, is trying to claw back into the series and avoid seeing its season end. If the Cardinal can even up the series on Saturday, the teams would play a decisive Game 3 on Sunday.
The WCWS is set for June 2-10 in Oklahoma City.
