The Oregon State Beavers visit the Washington Huskies Friday night in the opener of a three-game Pac-12 baseball series in Seattle.
It’s the 448th meeting between the teams and the Beavers — who have won 11 consecutive games in the series — need a victory tonight to equal their all-time winning streak against the Huskies. Oregon State won a dozen in a row from 1967-71.
The Beavers have had plenty of success in recent years at Husky Stadium, where they have won eight consecutive games dating to 2017.

This and that: Sellers, who is making his seventh start of the season, is looking to earn wins in consecutive starts for the first time with the Beavers. The 6-foot-2 right-hander defeated Cal last week, striking out 11 and allowing three runs on five hits, over six innings. Sellers leads the Pac-12 in strikeouts with 50, which includes 24 in 17 1/3 innings of Pac-12 play. … Second baseman Travis Bazzana is the Beavers’ hottest hitter entering the game, recording nine hits in his last 19 at-bats (.474 batting average). He has multi-hit efforts in his last two games, during which he has delivered the game-winning hit against Seattle University and scored the game-winning run against Cal. … After losing six of seven games earlier in March, Oregon State has won four of its last five entering the weekend, which includes a 6-5 midweek victory at Seattle on Wednesday. The come-from-behind win featured a pinch-hit, game-tying triple from Brady Kasper and a run-scoring single from Bazzana in the ninth inning. … Mason Guerra and Wilson Weber homered in the win. … Freshman reliever Nelson Keljo earned the first victory of his career against Seattle, tossing a scoreless eighth inning. … First baseman Garret Forrester has reached base safely in 24 consecutive games. He has just one hit in his last five games, but has eight walks during the stretch, giving him 123 for his career — second-most in school history behind Adley Rutschman (156). Forrester leads the Pac-12 in walks this season with 26. … The Beavers are 10-8 in March.
