Oregon State sophomore Jade Carey, buoyed by co-first place finishes on floor and balance beam, won her second consecutive all-around title at the Pac-12 gymnastics championships Saturday at West Valley City, Utah.
Carey scored 39.750 in all-around to defeat Utah’s Maile OKeefe, the runner-up with 39.675.
Carey was co-champion on beam and floor with scores of 9.975. Carey scored a 9.875 on vault to tie for seventh, and 9.925 on bars, tying for fourth.
Oregon State had a team score of 197.200 to place fourth. Utah won its third consecutive Pac-12 title, scoring 197.925 to edge UCLA, the runner-up with 197.850. California placed third with 197.825.
The Beavers top scorer outside of Carey was Sydney Gonzales, who tie for seventh on vault.
Next up for Oregon State are regionals March 29-April 2. The NCAA will unveil regional assignments at 9 a.m. Monday. Regional sites this year are Denver, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh and UCLA.
