In a matchup between two of the top five teams in Class 6A, it was Sheldon’s softball team coming out ahead against Sherwood in a 2-0 non-league game on Tuesday afternoon at Sherwood High School.
The Irish (22-1, 15-1 Southwest Conference) will host Grants Pass for a doubleheader on Friday. The Bowmen (17-4, 9-0 Pacific Conference) will play at Newberg on Wednesday.
