Police identified the man fatally shot in the St. Johns neighborhood July 9 as 26-year-old Portland resident Tyrell Martin.
The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide by gunshot, police said Saturday.
Officers responded to a shooting in the 8400 block of North Fessenden Street at 9:48 p.m. Police found Martin dead when they arrived.
No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Martin’s death marks the 47th homicide in Portland so far this year, putting the city on track to match or exceed last year’s record-breaking 101 homicides.
