It may rain on the parade day.
The National Weather Service says the Portland area has a 40% chance of rain Sunday, especially after 1 p.m. That may spare the Portland Pride Parade, which begins at Northwest Broadway and Couch Street at 11 a.m. It’s followed by a festival at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, which runs until 6 p.m.
Juneteeth and Father’s Day celebrations will experience the same so-so weather. The weather service says to expect mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 67 and a tenth- to a quarter-inch of rain.
Three funnel clouds swirled over Oregon, in Washington and Linn counties, Saturday. But a forecaster said Sunday the weather service didn’t anticipate more.
Slightly warmer weather returns Monday, when the federal government observes Juneteenth for the first time. Expect another mostly cloudy day, with highs near 71.
