If you’re heading out to the Washington County Fair this weekend (or any other outdoor activity in the area), make sure to remember the sunscreen. Saturday’s and Sunday’s weather forecast for the Portland area calls for sunny skies with high temperatures near 86 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Overnight, temperatures will cool to the upper 50s with clear skies Saturday night and increasing clouds Sunday night.
Next week could bring the first measurable rain for the month of July. There’s 30% chance of showers Monday during the day and a 60% chance Monday night. Tuesday and Wednesday will likely be back to sunny skies.
The nationwide extended forecast is calling for hot temperatures nearly everywhere in the country with the exception of our little northwest corner. Here we’ll be “normal” and that sounds very good.
