An unhoused Portland woman who was offered a tiny home at the new Multnomah Safe Rest Village amid ongoing tent removals in Old Town couldn’t stay at the site because the space isn’t fully wheelchair accessible.
The woman, known as Mama Kat, was offered help to move from her makeshift home to a tiny home in a safe rest village with group amenities in suburban Southwest Portland.
